Curtis Dayson represents people who’ve been seriously injured by the negligent acts of others or who’ve been injured on the job. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Curtis was raised by a pastor and an executive secretary who instilled in him the importance of ethical leadership and responsibility. At the age of 13, Curtis became an electrician’s assistant and worked after school and weekends until he attended college. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Morehouse College with honors, Curtis attended the University of South Carolina School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate.
Curtis’s practice initially focused on prosecuting crimes like burglary, theft, assault and battery, and murder. The years spent in the courtroom working with some of South Carolina’s greatest attorneys helped shape the attorney that Curtis is today. Curtis decided that ultimately he wanted to represent individual victims who were seriously injured by others. He then returned home to Charleston, South Carolina and went to work representing the injured at one of South Carolina’s largest personal injury law firms. There, Curtis learned that insurance companies are not interested in justice, fairness, or even their own clients, he learned that they are only interested in saving a dollar and will rail road every injured person to do so.
After learning the dirty games that insurers played and how they use the large amount of cases that many personal injury attorneys at large firms have against them, Curtis started his own practice so that he could focus on fewer cases and ensure that his injured clients received all that they deserved. Finding a common fighting spirit for the injured in his friend and former prosecutor associate Ramie Shalabi, Dayson & Shalabi Law Firm was created. Curtis is passionate about restoring what was taken away from victims of negligence and on the job injuries, peace of mind and justice. Although this firm doesn’t pursue jackpot justice, Curtis has recovered millions of dollars over the years for his clients. Everyday he works to restore what a serious injury has taken away from them and their family. That is what he fights for and that is what Dayson and Shalabi Law Firm was established to fight for.
Curtis currently resides in the Lowcountry and represents those who were injured in car collisions, motorcycle collisions, trip and falls, slip and falls, dog bites, and those who were injured while working on the job all over the state of South Carolina. He is passionate about his clients, his family, and his community.
